Discover the wonders of the north east coast and Samana Bay where whale watching tours almost guarantee a sighting. Punta Cana is found on the east coast and is a popular area for tourists and contains the nationís National Park. The south west coast found west of Santo Domingo and has an ecology that is most diverse and is an undiscovered treasure to most visitors.
Each region provides visitors with unique experiences so it feels as if you are visiting many lands instead of just one. Go Rving in the desert, spend the afternoon swimming and sunning the crystal clear waters, dive or snorkel to see fabulous creatures amidst the coral reefs, take a walk through the mysterious jungle and see wildlife and birds you can only see in the rainforest. Enjoy the cool quietness of the pine forest and hike trails in the rolling mountains.
